Kelemvor is neither malign nor secretive. His role is to assign the spirits of the undead their proper places in the afterlife. He judges the dead in an open and evenhanded manner

The church of Kelemvor is dedicated to helping the dead and the dying. Clerics arrange funerals and enact wills. If the deceased die intestate then the church claims their belongings. They also hunt down and destroy the undead and creatures who cause untimely death.

The church holds special festivals at Shieldmeet and at the Feast of the Moon. Clerics pray for their spells at Sundown..
